Yahoo has delivered a new home page design for news fanatics.
Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer announced the update on her company's blog today, saying the new design delivers a "more modern experience." The focal point of the design is news.
The changes were driven by mobile trends, Khalaf tells us, but have also been applied to the Yahoo website.
The Yahoo features are integrated with the Java download.
The Yahoo editor’s pick appears up top, followed by articles tailored to each user’s interests.
There are also news apps from startups like Flipboard and Smart News, as well as those from publishers themselves.Some highlights of the updates are: Yahoo Homepage The new Yahoo homepage allows users to scroll through related stories inline, instead of opening individual articles in multiple tabs.It thus provides the latest News and content in less time.The move is meant to better reflect how consumers are engaging with and reading news on mobile devices, but it’s also an attempt to shift the conversations that take place on social media sites back to Yahoo itself.The revamp comes at a time when more consumers than ever are reading the day’s news on their smartphones.
